Today is National Margarita Day, Celebrate With These Recipes

The fact that National Margarita Day falls on a Friday is not just a coincidence, but rather a sign from the drinking gods that they want you to have fun and be happy. We also want that, and thanks to Peligroso Tequila, we have some delicious recipes for you to try out. They are far beyond your traditional margarita mix, so perfect for celebrating this holiday in style. And if you don't have time today, well, there is still the whole weekend ahead of you.

Thai Basil Cucumber Peligroso Margarita

Ingredients:
1.5 - 2 oz. Peligroso Silver
2 oz. Agave Nectar or simple syrup
2 Limes squeezed
1 Cucumber
Thai Basil
Splash of Ginger Ale
Black Pepper

Preparation:
Combine Thai basil and two slices of cucumber in a shaker and muddle with the agave nectar or simple syrup. Add the fresh lime juice and Peligroso Tequila with crystal clear ice. Shake vigorously and pour over the ice rocks. Top off with a splash of ginger ale. Garnish with a cucumber slice on the side with a sprig of basil. Throw just a small pinch of black pepper on top.


Spicy Sangre Orange Peligroso Margarita

Ingredients:
1.5 - 2 oz. Peligroso Silver
4 oz. of blood orange juice
1 oz. Cointreau or triple sec
Lime
1 Jalapeno or Serrano chile

Preparation:
Muddle 2 slices of Jalapeño or Serrano chile with 2 oz. of Peligroso Silver Tequila in a shaker.
Add ice and 4 oz. of blood orange juice (or other juices, such as tangerine or mango), 1 oz. Cointreau or Triple Sec and a 1/2 squeezed fresh lime. Shake well and serve on the rocks in a tumbler.
