Phil Jackson made the news yesterday by joining Twitter and firing off a hilarious first tweet. So now that we can assume the "Zen Master" will soon be conquering social media, let's take a look back at the career of the legendary coach and former player.
Phil Jackson, 1972
Jackson was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1967 and played with them for 10 seasons, including championship winning seasons in 1970 and 1973.

Jackson joined the starting lineup for the Knicks in the 74-75 season. He joined the New Jersey Nets for his last two seasons in the league, retiring in 1980.

In 1999, after taking a year off, Phil decided to get back into coaching with the Los Angeles Lakers. Turned out to be a good idea, as they won the championship that season over the Pacers, and then again in 2001 with Shaq and Kobe (pictured) over the 76ers.
