Up-and-coming. Green-eyed, raven-haired beauty. Jaw-dropping curves. The new "it" girl. These are just some of the terms being used to describe Abigail Ratchford, a 23-year-old model from Pennsylvania who is moving to the West Coast soon. She is starting to gain some serious notoriety, booking magazine spreads and landing auditions, so we latched on to Abigail for an interview that you will be sure to enjoy (along with 13 very sexy photos).
Hailing from Scranton, PA, how often do you have to humor people with talk about the show "The Office?"
Haha, actually quite often. If someone doesn't mention "The Office" when I mention Scranton, then they usually don't know where Scranton is, so I will have to ask, "Did you ever see the TV show The Office?" Then it's like a light bulb goes off. So one way or another, "The Office" is mentioned!

Besides modeling, do you do anything else for a living?
I started a business about two years ago that was essentially a bartending service you could call if you were having a birthday party, wedding, cocktail party for your company, etc., and a pretty girl would show up to bartend, cocktail waitress and serve shots. I was passionate about it but it became more of a headache than a smile and I realized I wanted to turn myself into a brand instead of spending my energy on something that I couldn't see a promising future with.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Watching movies, traveling, going to great shows and concerts, exercising, yoga, watching the Food Network and then cooking what was on TV, spending time with my loved ones and of course shopping.

Do you have a favorite sports team?
Sadly I'm probably the least sporty girl you will ever meet. I literally know nothing about sports, teams, players, anything. I have always said I like the Eagles but that's just because I'm from PA and my aunt was an Eagles cheerleader.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Probably taking too many naps or going to Philadelphia for dinner at Del Frisco's for a medium rare steak, lobster mac 'n cheese, and chateau potatoes. God I can't even say that without drooling, haha! So good.

When did you decide you wanted to be a model?
I got interested in modeling at a young age because my oldest brother was a model with Ford Agency and was in Calvin Klein ads. I thought it was so glamorous and cool to say you were a model. When I was about 20 I started getting my pictures taken for the Miss Pennsylvania pageant. I realized I was photogenic and was comfortable in front of the camera, and I kind of dabbled in modeling for a bit after that, but it wasn't until this year that I got really serious and focused enough to pursue it as a career and to move to LA in June to be in the center of the modeling/acting world on the West Coast.

Twitter fans can follow you @AbiRatchford. What do you think about Twitter?
Well first of all, I'm not really good at it! I had about three friends until two months ago, but now I have a lot more. I usually go on to look at E! News or get good quotes. I also just started following Maxim and tweeting the Hot Pic at Noon pics that all the girls do. It's fun.

Give us three fun facts about Abigail Ratchford.
I'm the fifth of SEVEN kids.
I write everything down. My daily routine, things I have to do, even things like "take shower" or "wash clothes." I swear my mind is always going a mile a minute so if I don't write it down, I'm worried I will forget it.
I have dreams all the time that come true. If someone dies, if someone is in trouble, if someone is about to move, I have a dream that will have some kind of symbolism in it that will indicate what's about to happen, and 99% of the time, it does!

What are your plans and goals for 2013?
My goals for this year are to move to West Hollywood in June, to go to castings and book great jobs. I want to be multifaceted in my career and not just known for lingerie and bikini pics. I would love to be the face of a great makeup line or hair product, to be on commercials, TV pilots, eventually movies, etc. I am taking acting classes when I get there and eventually want to be SAG certified, as well. My immediate goals are to be in Maxim, FHM, and to get my career hot in a short time. I don't want it to take me years to be an in-demand model or household name. I don't have the patience for that if you can't tell! ; )

Now we are hoping you can help some of us men out. What qualities do you look for in a boyfriend?
First, someone who is driven and a hard worker. Your partner is someone who should inspire you to be better, to work harder, and to do more in life. If you are with someone with no ambition to succeed, then what does that say about you? It's important to be with someone who sees no limits to what you can achieve and doesn't laugh at you when you tell them your goals that you set for yourself, and instead wants to do whatever they can to help you achieve those goals. I also look for someone who is funny, not judgmental of others, close with his family, supportive of me and my career goals, and someone who doesn't do drugs or make horrible life decisions. My boyfriend is all of these things and that's why this is the first year I have actually gotten serious about my career. Since meeting him, I stopped being lazy and saw my real potential and decided to work hard to make my dream come true. So many girls I see are with the wrong guys who just put them down, are jealous, lazy, and would rather go drinking with their buddies than spend time with their girlfriend and I just want to shake the girl and tell her to wake up and ditch the scrub! Know your worth.

What is the biggest style or fashion faux pas a man can make?
I think so many guys are worried about having swag and not having style. When you have great style, all your choices will work well. Take Adam Levine, for example. Whether he is in a suit by Tom Ford or Lanvin, or relaxed in jeans and a white t-shirt, he just has style. Style comes from knowing what you like and what works for you and being comfortable with it. Too many guys in their mid-late twenties are stuck on this "swag" title and end up looking like a hybrid of Aaron Carter and Justin Bieber. Pull your jeans up past your boxers, take off the constant backwards hat, and don't wear more jewelry than your mother. Such a bad look and they don't even realize it. Dress mature and polished, and don't spend more time dousing on the hair gel than it takes you to get dressed. And lastly, don't throw on every single expensive item you own at once. Pace yourself to impress the girl or else you will run out of tricks by the time you get a second date!

Do you have a terrible first date story? Those are always fun to hear about.
Actually the worst first date I ever had was with my present boyfriend. He had a driver pick me up from my house and he was in the back of this fancy car like some big shot. We went to a nice restaurant and he decided to order everything expensive on the menu including a bottle of wine for us, and another, and another. By the time we were done with dinner I could tell he was drunk and nervous. The driver then took us to a casino and he looked like he was about to be ill because he was turning green, so I had his driver take him home and spent the rest of the night mortified and convinced I'd never go out with him again. After about a month, I agreed on a second date, and told him no wine, and to just be himself instead of trying to impress me. He took my advice and the rest is history.

You are obviously very attractive...do you get compared to any other sexy models or actresses?
Hmm, I have heard Katy Perry, Megan Fox, Adriana Lima, Kim Kardashian and [young] Yasmine Bleeth. I think it usually has to do with my dark hair and green-colored eyes because I don't see any other strong resemblances, and I got the Kim Kardashian comparison once when I was a little thicker and bootylicious, haha.
