We are no stranger to hilarious yearbook photos here on Mandatory. However, most of the the laughs tend to be provided by students, so it's always fun to witness a teacher getting in on the action.
Dale Irby has done just that by wearing the exact same outfit in his yearbook photo for the past 40 years straight. What started out as an accident (Irby happened to wear the same polyester shirt and sweater vest on picture day two years in a row), turned into a dare from his wife to keep the gag running for as long as possible.
He recently retired after 40 years of teaching, but these photos leave quite the legacy behind.
