Citizens in the area called police after seeing the animal roaming around the area of Dawson Avenue and Abington Drive in east Greensboro just after 4 p.m., Thursday. Another animal control officer who originally responded to scene kept the pig calm in a grassy area adjacent to a house on Dawson Avenue until Afari arrived to assist. Afari said the original responding officer did not have space in his truck to hold the pig and called for assistance.
