NASA has been studying Mars for years, hoping to find some proof of life, and they may have come across something that proves that there is more going on on that planet than originally believed.

The Curiosity Rover was sent to Mars to check and take images of the red planet, and in doing so captured what looks like a perfectly formed pyramid. While some believe it is simply rock formation that just happens to be shaped that way, others believe that it is proof of an alien civilization.
Some have even gone as far as to say that perhaps the pyramid is the tip of a larger structure buried underground.

Whatever it is, it has certainly reignited conversation of possible life on Mars again. My theory of it just being a marketing ploy by the "Independence Day" sequel team hasn't picked up steam yet.
